Sun, Sea & Turquoise Water

Beaches in Kaş

From the famous Kaputaş gorge to 18km of sand at Patara — the best beaches within reach of Kaş.

Kaş itself is built on a rocky peninsula, so the town beaches are pebble. But within a short drive, you'll find some of Turkey's most beautiful sandy beaches. The water everywhere is exceptionally clear — a trademark of this stretch of the Lycian coast.

Beach Tips

  • Water shoes — essential for pebble beaches in Kaş town.
  • Arrive early at Kaputaş — parking fills up by 10 AM in high season. The 187 steps down are worth it.
  • Dolmuş (minibus) — runs regularly between Kaş and Kaputaş in summer. Ask at the bus station for times.
  • Snorkeling gear — bring your own or rent in town. The coves on Çukurbağ peninsula have the clearest water.
