What to Do in Winter

Hiking the Lycian Way

Autumn and winter are the best seasons for hiking. The coastal paths are spectacular without the summer heat. The section from Kaş to Limanağzı is a perfect half-day walk.

Diving

Dive centres operate year-round. Winter water temperatures are 16–18°C — you'll need a thicker wetsuit, but visibility is often at its best and dive sites are uncrowded.

Old Town Exploration

Wander the narrow streets, discover local shops, sit in cafes, and enjoy the town at its most authentic. Without the summer crowds, you'll see the real Kaş.

Day Trips

Visit Myra and Santa Claus Church in Demre, Patara ruins, or the ancient city of Xanthos. All are within an hour's drive and much more pleasant without the heat.

Cooking & Food

Winter is when you eat the best home-style Turkish food. Try a local cooking class or simply let us recommend the restaurants that the locals love in the off-season.

Reading & Relaxation

Kaş in winter is perfect for slow living. Bring a book, find a café, and let the pace of the town work its magic. The mild Mediterranean climate means most days are sunny even in January.
